If you are an independent traveler there are several ways to get on the island.

The major connection points are:

a)     The international airport of Ioannis Capodistrias

b)     The new port of Corfu Town

c)     The port of the second largest town - Lefkimmi

Corfu Town New Port
The recently enlarged port of Corfu handles with care thousands of transporting passengers. The main international destinations are Italian ports of Venice, Ancona, Trieste, Bari and Brindisi. The port connects also Igoumenitsa, Paxos and Antipaxos Islands, Patras as well as regular lines between all the Ionian Islands. This varies substantially based on time of the year.

Lefkimmi Port

The Lefkimmi port is situated south of the Island near the tourist resort Kavos. By geographical position Lefkimmi port is closer to Igoumenitsa (mainland Greece) than the port of Corfu. The trip takes less time and therefore it is also cheaper, especially for those traveling by their own car. The Lefkimmi port mainly serves connection to ‘Igoumenitsa’ and to the Islands of Paxos & Antipaxos. The routes operate daily throughout the year.
